Frequently Asked Questions

What documents do I need to bring for my business taxes?

Always start with a copy of your 3 most recent tax returns.

Invite your tax preparer to be an accountant user on your QuickBooks Online account.

Provide a copy of all of the current year and prior year payroll reports.

Bring a list of all of the tax estimates you paid to the Treasury and to the state.

Your tax preparer will let you know of other items and questions as they look at your books.

Why hire you over another accountant?

I’m a small business owner so I have a unique understanding of small businesses and the difficulties they face.  With over two decades of experience working with small to mid-sized businesses, I focus on providing accurate, reliable accounting and tax strategies that add value.  I pay attention to detail and ask the right questions.  My goal is to serve as a trusted partner and offer you quality service tailored to your specific needs and business goals.

Why switch from my current accountant?

You shouldn’t… if you are happy with the results you are getting and you believe your accountant is providing you with the best service possible.

But if you have thought about making a change, I will bring a fresh prospective, provide personalized service, and provide attention to detail and ask the right questions.  I can help identify opportunities for financial growth and uncover potential issues or unnoticed errors that lead to missed opportunities for your business.

What services are included in your fee structure and how much do you charge?

I design a package that is tailored to your specific needs.  I will give you a choice of 2-3 packages and allow you to decide which one will best serve your current needs.  Packages can include the following.

  • Monthly bookkeeping and financial record maintenance
  • Financial statement preparation and reconciliation
  • Tax planning and preparation
  • Business advisory and consulting
  • Reconciliation of accounts and correction of discrepancies
  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable clean-up
  • Complete Financial Books Clean-Up in QuickBooks
  • Complete Financial Books Catch-Up in QuickBooks
